Climbing 

Climbing in the Mont-Blanc massif and the Chamonix Valley means compact rock, high mountains, superb granite and miles of gneiss. There are also lots of opportunity for beginners and families to learn to climb. One of our family favourites is Les Gaillands.

Parapenting

Discover the sensation of flight in Chamonix with a tandem flight or go solo for those more experienced pilots! Our friends Caroline and Lionel at Absolute Chamonix offer a full array of flight experiences to suit all ages.

Watersports

Rip through the rapids of the Arve during a morning of white water rafting and plunge through water holes and slide down waterfalls in an afternoon of canyoning. The Valley offers everything from rafting and hydro speed to a day relaxing with a picnic by the lake at Passy.

Mountain Biking

Chamonix attracts mountain bike enthusiasts from all around the world to ride the great variety of trails than criss-cross our beautiful valley. With 20 official marked trails of varying difficulty, there is something for everyone. The pump track at Servoz is also a fun place to while away a few hours!

Hiking

Chamonix boasts some 170 different hiking and walking routes. From short walks to full days, week long treks and multi-country routes. Some of our favourites include Lac Cornu, the Grand Balcon Sud and a hike up for breakfast at La Chapelle simply can't be beat!

Via Ferrata

Chamonix offers two via ferrata routes; Evettes at Flegere and Passy further down the Valley. All equipment can be hired from our friends at Snell Sports in the town centre.
